CINIS
A downloadable game for Windows
A great Scourge of Chaos has befallen the Holy City of Mithcal. The source said to be the Great Pantheon Tower right near the city... You must venture into Mithcal, fight the chaos, reestablish order, and fight the forces of the chaos god CINIS!

Brave Knight of Order, arm yourself with guns, swords, maces, flasks of oils and knightly armor! For you shall surely need it to survive the chaos of the realm!
CINIS blends classic retro FPS gameplay with medieval melee combat, featuring dodging and parrying of attacks. Together with souls-like inspired gameplay and world design with shortcuts and loops, as well there's nothing quite like it.
Whether you prefer a guns-only action playstyle, sneaking around enemies and backstabbing them unseen, or want the challenge and reward of parrying and reposting enemies, you'll be able to play however you like, and easily mix and match gear based on your specific preference.

A lot of usability, tutorial, map improvements and bug fixes! Check out the blog for more info on what the release adds and changes, or look below for some of the details!
Mithcal Road (Improved)
New and improved Mithcal Road, featuring a NPC to help get the player started, as well as improved tutorials and flow! It also represents a darker, and more ominous start to the game...
Check out the pics below!

Gutter-Town (Improved)
Improved the flow and layout of Gutter-Town, as some layouts caused confusion with players. The changes should improve flow through the level, and lessen confusion!

The newest release (In game title "CINIS - Journey Into Mithcal - Demo 0.2.1") is simply the first smaller piece of a larger planned demo being worked on. If all goes well, the demo will span at least half of Mithcal, or even better all of Mithcal.
But it will all take time to make the city in its entirety, hence I'm making these preview releases on Itch. Full demo is planned for Steam, but no dates yet!
Additionally, Mithcal as it is in the demo is mostly how it will be in the full game, so this is basically final content, however, the demo is actually a prequel to the full game, and offers a unique isolated adventure. So in the full game, you can expect slightly different layouts, new NPCs, quests, enemies, remixed areas, etc.
Otherwise, expect the following in new releases: (Note, District names have been redacted here!)
- More enemies
- More guns, melee weapons, armor sets and consumables
- NPCs and quests across the city
- Addition of new Sanctuary (game hub)
- City Sewers
- Fulgar District
- City District 2
- City District 3
- City District 4
- City District 5
- Great Pantheon Tower
And more!
Feel free to leave any feedback in the comments!

I like the project so far - when I got the shotgun and saw the shotgun blast through barrels like paper mache I said "hell yeah" out loud to my audience of one partner and one cat. I also crashed the game by jumping off the edge of the world like an idiot, but if it helps, the crash only happened when my character would have collided with the ground. I was fine the way down, but the engine had a fatal crash when I splattered on the pavement lmfao. I'm excited to see what updates come out, and what you come up with next.
Hi!
After a bit of brief testing, I am able to reproduce the crash, and will look into what the underlying issue could be soon. (Unfortunately not the first person to report a crash at the beginning of the game...)
Thanks for the good feedback, playing, and support!
I've been testing systems and mechanics in Godot for a few months now when I get time after work, and this process of starting small and developing progressively bigger with the same base mechanics is so cool to me. I'd love to hear more about the process behind this in dev logs or something like that!
